JW Zepeda Law Firm is looking for a newly licensed Texas attorney who is hungry to learn, willing to work, and ready to gain real, hands-on litigation experience from day one.
We are not hiring based on class rank, perfect grades, law review, or the prestige of the law school on your résumé. Those things are accomplishments, but they do not tell us what kind of attorney you will become.
We care about work ethic, initiative, judgment, accountability, and the willingness to learn.
This is not a position where you will spend your first year simply watching other attorneys practice law.
You will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance while working on real cases and gradually taking on greater responsibility as your skills and confidence develop.
You will have opportunities to:
- Communicate directly with clients
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Assist with case strategy and preparation
- Prepare for hearings, mediations, depositions, and negotiations
- Attend and participate in court proceedings
- Gain courtroom and advocacy experience
- Work directly with experienced attorneys
- Learn how to manage litigation matters from beginning to resolution
- Take on increasing responsibility as your skills and judgment develop
- We are looking for someone who is intelligent, hardworking, teachable, accountable, and willing to step outside their comfort zone.
We are not looking for a perfect résumé.
We are looking for potential.

Job Requirements
- Active Texas law license in good standing
- Newly licensed attorney or attorney with limited post-licensure experience
- No prior attorney experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and personal accountability
- Motivated, curious, and eager to learn
- Coachable and receptive to direct feedback
- Willing to take ownership of assignments and follow them through
- Able to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment
- Willing to communicate directly with clients
- Willing to travel throughout Texas for hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related matter
- Comfortable appearing both in person and remotely when appropriate
- Professional judgment, integrity, and willingness to ask questions when needed
